Treasurer’s Report: Katie Costanzo – This month we had some income mainly from dues and the December banquet payments. Expenses were for the California Auto Museum donation and various other operating expenses. We have $165 currently in the Messineo Fund. There is a donation option when members pay their annual dues.

Editors’ Report: Pat Galvin. Kim has been producing the Oilspots from England, but she may need to resign due to issues with the Publisher software. We need a volunteer to publish our monthly Oilspots. Please contact Pat if you are interested!
Ongoing items:
- The Freese Legislative Update: Ken Freese – Ken gave an update on car related legislation:
- AB30 Passed. Would require the state board to complete a rulemaking on or before July 1, 2025, to adopt specifications for blends of gasoline containing 10.5% to 15% ethanol by volume for use as transportation fuel.
- AB272. Died
- AB486 Passed. This bill would add vehicle key programming devices, key duplicating devices, and signal extenders, unless authorized, to the list of prohibited instruments to possess.
- AB696 A bill Related to lithium batteries was vetoed by the governor.
- SB615. Vetoed. Lithium-Ion Car Battery Recycling Advisory Group
- SB682 Vetoed by the governor. Related to perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) restriction
- SB720 Passed. Traffic ticket from a camera source goes to the vehicle, not the driver.
- SB766. Passed. Enacts the California Combating Auto Retail Scams (CARS) Act. The bill would make it a violation of the act for a dealer to make any misrepresentation regarding material information about specified matters relating to the vehicle sale.

- Regalia Update: Dale Nichols – Dave spoke for Dale. We still need a volunteer to manage Regalia. Dale is stepping down after the Show in May and is happy to train anyone interested. Remember: Regalia makes great Christmas presents!

- May 17, 2026, Dixon Car Show: Pat Galvin. The field is rented. We are right on schedule.

Old Business
- October 11th Rally: Dennis Flosi – Members who attended said it was a great drive; and turnout. Drove on Green Valley Rd through the wineries. Ate at a biker bar for lunch!
- October 25th November 1st Halloween Rally – Bob and Sherry Byers. Jerry C reported that we had good weather, turns and drive. Good turnout!
- December 2nd Christmas Banquet: Pat Galvin – Deadline to sign up is November 22nd!! It will be at Cattlemens in Rancho Cordova. Arrive at 6:00 pm, dinner starts at 6:30 pm. The menu choices and your membership dues reminder were emailed Thursday, October 30.
- Dues is $30 a household.
- The cost for the Christmas Banquet dinner is $40 with the club picking up the remainder of dinner costs. In addition to salad, baked potato, veggies, beans, and cheesecake, entree choices are Vegetarian Ravioli, Teriyaki Chicken, Ribs, Prime Rib, and New York Steak.
- Deadline to sign up is November 22nd!! The online system lets you skip the dues and reserve your dinner options.
There will be a short meeting at 6:00 pm.
Members voted and unanimously elected the above as the 2026 officers.
- November 8th Cars & Coffee – Mike Rapoza – will be at Bill’s Donuts in Granite Bay at 8:00 AM. Our next Cars and Coffee will be in February.
- November 30th CAM Tree Trimming Event – Dave – 1:00 – 3:00 set up; 3:00 – 4:00 cocktails, 4:00 onward dinner potluck. If you are interested, please see Dave after the meeting for details.
- November 15. Mike R. would like to sponsor a fall drive in the foothills. Will meet up at the Raleys at East Natoma and Blue Ravine. Drive to Camino, Placerville on Carson Road. He will send an email with the details.

For the Good of the Club – Tim W. asked members to donate items for the raffle at the Banquet. Call him or Mary if you have any questions.
